Hi
thanks for reply

but i didnt got useful info
actaully we have many OTF fonts which we are using on windows as well as Linux
but we cant use it on Mac (it has a different table format)

so my question is we are using openoffice on windows & linux and now
i know on mac also(sorry i justed started working on mac)

so openoffice should mainted a standard so
any font in openoffice should give same output in all OS platform

is it implemented now?
& will it work for me if i installed OO in MAC Tiger?

looking for ur reply

Best Regards,
Pravin S

Wellcome to the discution ... Let me just give a message from a previous
thread :

Of course the issue is VERY important. OpenTypes are a standard. Did OO would
get where it got, if didn't supported MS formats; the facto standards of
office applications?

Like I previously posted, I solve the problem converting OT to TT fonts. But
that can't obliterate that the problem exist.

Of course that is the strength of an open project, but as I pointed in a
previous post, seams that it's possible to implement OT fonts in Linux, just
using the rendering engine from X. I'm assuming that OO has a modular
architecture.

Anyway, if someone will point me a previous thread were this issue was
discussed and the reasons present, I'would like to know them.

and my solution :

Let's hope it would help you.
