     There are several freeware HTML editors available on the internet 
including Nvu among others. Mozilla's compete browser package 
contains this feature also. (Seamonkey is the latest version of 
Mozilla.) If you are into serious HTML editing, one of these is 
superior to OpenOffice.org's HTML editor.

     OOo does contain an HTML editor which I use all the time for 
simple web creation (text only). But it does add extra code that is 
not considered to be valid by W3C which is the authority on this. 
Anything created using OOo needs to be cleaned up before being placed 
on the web.
