Have you tried File > Wizard > Install new dictionaries? If you
are going to install the Japanese dictionary, you also need to set up
OpenOffice.org (and perhaps also your comuter) to handle Asian
languages. (Tools > Options > Language Settings > Languages and check
[tick] both choices in the Enhanced language support section.)
