On about the third or fourth reading I think the text accurately reflects the situation. Prior to that, though, it seemed to me that the (Help text) author was confusing autocorrect and autoformat and that, therefore, the whole thing was gibberish. Not helped by calc using "autoinput" and writer using "autoformat" to control something named "autocorrect". However, as Emerson said "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds".
