I downloaded what I thought was the full Open Office suite onto my
Mac. When I double click on the OOo icon it automatically opens
Writer. I don't seem to be able to open Calc or other OOo programs.
Hi Erin
Once the program is open, if you select File / New from the menu, do you
get the full list of programs selected then?
There may be different ways of starting up OpenOffice on the mac. I just
tried it on my wife's mac, and OpenOffice automatically opened into
Writer. From there I could select File / New and create any type of
document I wanted. In the past (possibly a previous version) I'm sure that
rather than opening Writer, it gave me a choice of creating any type of
new document or opening a document. Maybe the default behavious has
changed.
Another OpenOffice Mac project is NeoOffice (http://www.neooffice.org/).
Maybe that's what I'm thinking of. It may be worth checking it out.
