If I press the "other key" (No, or Cancel), then nothing happens and the question is asked again every time I call up the file for viewing.

In most cases the document would be edited and saved after styles are applied.

Your case is out of the ordinary because the document is an archive.

You could try filing an issue but I suspect it would get a very low priority. Even a high priority means a long wait.

What happens if you press the other key (I forget whether it's "No" or "Cancel")?

When I call up old purchase orders which were made with an older version of OOo Calc I get the following message:

"The Styles in this document do not match your current Styles. Should your current Styles be applied to this document"

I answer "Yes" to this, but every time I open that same document I get the same pop-up and message.

One cannot Save the changed Styles because the Save icon is greyed out.

A work-around I have adopted for stopping this message popping up is this:

1.  when the pop-up appears I answer "Yes" to apply current styles;
2. I then type one character in an empty cell and immediately delete it - this makes OOo think the document had been edited and the Save icon becomes active; 3. I then click on the Save button and my current Styles must be saved into the document because next time I open it the pop-up does not appear.

Perhaps in the next revision this could be taken care of by either:

a) making the Save button active when the user answers "Yes" to the pop-up .... or
b) auto-saving the current Styles when the user answers "Yes".

What do the rest of you think?
