Did you download the PowerPC or the Intel version? Each will only
work on one Mac or the other, not both.
I suspect that if your Mac is brand new, it's most likely an Intel
Mac. Make sure you download the Intel version of OOo if that's the case.
In any case, you should be able to find your way to the proper
version if you click on the following link:
