The Window>New Window menu option will open a new window with your document
shown in it. You can scroll to a different part of the document in each window
and cut/paste from one to the other. You can open as many new windows as you
like and you can make each one show a different part of the same document.

If you are running Microsoft Windows, you can arrange the windows neatly using
standard tiling:
1. Minimise all windows except the ones you want to work with
2. Right click in the task bar
3. Choose Tile Windows Horizontally or Tile Windows Vertically depending on how
you want to work.

If you are running some other window manager you will have to find the
corresponding option, or simply do it "by hand".
