The version of OpenOffice.org you are using is very old and is no longer
supported. Might I suggest moving to the OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 version
for your Macs. It is available for both the Power PC chipsets
(G3/G4/G5) and Intel chips (Solo and Duo). You can download them from
the OpenOffice.org web site. You will need to install the X11 windowing
system on your Mac's. I will assume that your G5 Mac is running Mac OS
X 10.3 and you will need to visit the Apple download site to retrieve
it. For your new MacIntel, you will need to install the X11 User
package from the Install diskset. There are many How-Tos for installing
this package. You will need to do this before you install the
OpenOffice.org package.

Enjoy your new Mac!
