I am still trying multisync to work but no luck.
I think a lot of problems have to do with the 64-bit environment.
Armin, I tried to remove the Werror flag but now it says it needs the
routines which weren't compiled as the warning came that they weren't
used.
Another problem I have with the downloaded version - using the FC5
repositories - is that I have donwloaded version 0.90-18 and the
opensync which is available is 0,18 but the about button says version
multisync has version 0.82. Can I try to remove the multisync binary
from /usr/bin and reinstall from the repository or do I have to remove
more.
Also in the multisync directory I have the following files:
/usr/local/lib/multisync/file_sync.la
/usr/local/lib/multisync/file_sync.so
/usr/local/lib/multisync/libevolution2_sync.a
/usr/local/lib/multisync/libevolution2_sync.la
/usr/local/lib/multisync/libevolution2_sync.so
/usr/local/lib/multisync/libsyncml_plugin.a
/usr/local/lib/multisync/libsyncml_plugin.la
/usr/local/lib/multisync/libsyncml_plugin.so
/usr/local/lib/multisync/libsyncml_plugin.so.0
/usr/local/lib/multisync/libsyncml_plugin.so.0.0.0
As you can see the file file_sync.a is not present.
When I start multisync (version0.82) I only see a plugin with the name
Ximian Evolution (?) and SyncML. As I want to synchronize a Windows CE
PDA I assume I need file_sync.
Hope you - or somebody else - can direct me out of this puzzle so I can
sync Evolution and the PDA (trying for over a year!).
Joep
