My fiancee was trying to create paragraphs that referenced too-small
answer spaces on a printed form, and she wanted to number them as the form
was numbered. But, OO.o-2.0.3 (on Slackware-10.2, but that's immaterial)
wants to be smarter than the user and automatically numbers and spaces
paragraphs as soon as [Enter] is pressed after the first numbered paragraph.

The help system explicitly states that numbering and bullets can be turned
off "for the current or selected paragraphs," but does not advise how to
turn it off completely.

While I recognize that this "feature" probably originated with Redmond,
there ought to be a way to prevent automatic numbering (or bullets) from
turning on. Is there? What did we miss?

TIA,

Rich
