Who knows? RedHat won't say.
The only problem that I know of that supports this kind of lunatic
behavior is patents. I /presume/ that someone has a patent that may,
possibly, cover these features. With patents, especially software
patents, no one can be sure what does or doesn't infringe, so RedHat
doesn't want to a) take a chance, or b) publicly say anything specific
that could provide ammunition to the patent holder.
Again, I am only guessing. IANAL and I have no specific information
beyond what it says in the bug report.
