For this you should have three page styles: one each for Front
Cover, Table of Contents, and Body of Text. You can use the First
Page style for the Front Cover, Index for the Table of Contents and
Default style for Body of Text. The Table of Contents style can be
created from from the Default page style. This is the only one that
will have to be created.
You will have to do some modifications to all three page styles.
(The F11 key will do this for you.) Then right click each of these
Page styles and select Modify. When the Page Style window opens, make
the changes you want and click OK. Under the Organizer tab, you will
want to change the Next Page style for the first two styles. (For
First Page, change the Next Page style to Index. For Index, change
the Next Page style to Default.)
Then as someone else mentioned, create a manual break at the
bottom of the Table of Contents page. Set the next Page style to
Default and change the page number to 1.
This might be clear as mud. However, if you do not understand how
to use styles, I would recommend you learn if you want to use
OpenOffice.org Writer to its full potential. There are three chapters
on styles listed on this web page that are very useful:
