The icon on my desktop reads"OO0_2.0.4_Win32Intel_install created 10/13/2006 1201PM Size 92.3 MB" I am using Windows XP Home. I have clicked on this icon twice and run the install twice and no change. The old Open Office I had was version 02. I think 3. Clicking this older icon either on my desktop or tool tray resulte in the message "This action is only valid for > products that are currently installed."
To install 2.0.4 I went to * Download: http://downloads.openoffice.org/2.0.4/ and clicked download. It downloaded for quite a long time, I thought. But, it is my first download since getting cable internet acess. I see I have another e-mail with a correction on it. I have not compared the site URL's yet. Thanks, jim
