If you are creating *.swx files, you are probably using one of
the OOo 1.x versions. Yesterday, OOo announced that 2.0.4 was
available for downloading. It has many more features than the 1.x
versions.
In any case, you need to save the file in the .doc format. To do
so, File > Save As and select Microsoft Word (97/2000/XP) (.doc) as
the File type. MS Word will be able to read such a file.
I do not know if your version of OOo can export files to PDF or
not, but the newest versions can. Then Acrobat on your office
computer will be able to open it.
