OOo (all versions) run on windows XP pro, home, and most other MS and
non-MS OS's...  Potentially you downloaded the wrong file for XP.

In addition it shouldn't take 3 disks. The normal windows download is
~ 90MB ...  Try this link for the correct file (select "continue to
download"):
http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.4/contribute.html?product=OpenOffice.org&os=win&lang=en&version=2.0.4

There are shops that do offer to send you a CD if you really want one...

system. I got the the following message. Wrong operating system . I guess open 
office 2.0 does not work with  X P professional. Could you mail me a copy that
