I am an old foxpro developer and have used ms-access occasionally. Currently on a 901 mHz PIII white box with 3/4GB ram, running Ubuntu Dapper, but have attempted this on windows 2K and previous versions of Ubuntu. OpenOffice 2.0.2
Any manipulation at all takes all available cpu cycles and slows everything down to a slow waltz, about half the time and in the other times.. just crashes tha base application. Is this a feature? Does base only work on >1gHz processors and 2 GB RAM?? I would love to get this thing working, as it appears to be a feature-rich database.
