Ok folks, enough on how did my address get into the hands of a Spambot. 1. Your address was harvested from the mail list. Spambots are now smart enough to figure out the confirmation messages and reply to them. They remain on the list long enough to get fifty or so unique addresses. They then turn around, using a fake return address, and send out their garbage. 2. You can set up a 'fake' address that will be used only for outbound mail and then use a different one for inbound mail. This is very sneeky, but it works. Any inbound traffic will be deleted from the fake account and you can read your messages as well as those of others on your real address (both are subscribed to the same list.) 3. This is all that needs to be said on this subject.
