There is a uno package that can be installed, available here

Does not work with OpenOffice 2.0.4.
 

It does under Linux (Fedora Core 3 with JRE 1.5.0_06 installed). I've 
been using it since 2.0.1 but it does tend to mangle some things though, 
such as text boxes. I've only used it with files produced by InkScape 
thus far.
