Is this the first time you attempted to run OpenOffice.org as the user?
Is this the first time you have run OpenOffice.org on this particular
system? If the answer to the last question, this MUST be done as a user
with administrative rights otherwise the program will fail.
If you are running OpenOffice.org as a user with administrative rights,
please run the following command from the Terminal program located in
the Applications -> Utilities folder and advise the results:
sudo find / -name mkdir
(enter your password at the password prompt).
