Hi Eike,

Thank you very much for your reply. The option you suggest "English-US" is
not shown in my OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 I have tried the most likely ones, to
no avail. I keep getting the date. Since it is a short file text, forgive me
to include it here, as follows:

"No","Fecha/Hora","Localidad","Nro.

Destino","Duración en minutos ","Monto"
"1","01/09/2006

12:26:53","","1234404841","000:01:00","0.34"
"2","01/09/2006

20:44:23","","1234470589","000:06:00","2.01"
"3","01/09/2006

20:48:35","","1234107025","000:01:00","0.33"
"4","02/09/2006

21:13:19","","1234470589","000:11:00","2.42"
"5","04/09/2006

09:21:18","","1234496","000:00:26","0.00"
"6","04/09/2006

09:22:28","","1234501","000:02:23","0.00"
"7","04/09/2006

09:25:06","","12342999","000:03:49","0.00"
"8","04/09/2006

10:18:43","","123470589","000:00:04","0.05"
"9","04/09/2006

10:18:41","","1234470589","000:01:00","0.33"
"10","04/09/2006

10:22:56","","12348133","000:03:31","0.00"

If you look at the last column here "Monto" (=amount) you'll notice that in
spite of the fact that in this country we use a comma as a decimal mark, in
this file a dot is used instead.
I show the amounts that are rendered wrong in red bold characters. The only
difference is that there is a whole part in the value. That is why I thought
about a possible bug, but I'm not an expert.

I didn't know I was writing to a list.

Regards
Jose

Sounds like the value data has a dot '.' as a decimal separator but your
locale uses a comma ',' instead. Mark the column in the CSV import
dialog as "English-US" and it should import as a value.
