I strongly suspect the answer is no-can-do, but I'll check anyway. I'm thinking of a brochure, A5 pages, printed on A4 paper. There's no problem with the basics. But I'd like a background picture continuous across each double-page spread.
If the same picture is needed for each such pair of pages, then I can simply put the paper through the printer twice; life is harder if the picture is different for each page pair (eg for an 8-page booklet - 2 A4 sheets - pages 3 and 6 are on the same side of one A4 sheet, and so would need different half-pictures on the same A4 side, the other halves would be on the sheet with pages 2 and 7).
