2006/10/29, Angus Fraser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

I was attempting to download openoffice 2.0.4 and have the OOo 2.0.4 icon
on my main screen. When I double click I get a security warning advising me
not to install. I would like to try downloading again so how do I delete the
icon. Can I just delete or do I have to uninstall. I do not show any
installed openoffice programs when I go to add/remove programs.

Thankyou, Angus Fraser

Dear Angus

It would be useful if you gave some more information: what OS and which
version of it are you working with (Windows, Mac, Linux)?

What program gives the security warning. maybe it is your anti-virus program
or firewall, which you should momentarily disable while installing OOo
(first disconnect from the web and don't forget to enable and connect again
after install is complete).

As far as I see it, you haven't installed OOo yet, so you cannot uninstall
:-) If you really want to get rid of OOo before seriouly trying to install
it, you can just drag the OOo icon to the waste basket.
