This may be Issue 69314 ( http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=69314 ) which, alas, is marked WONTFIX: (on IRC) paveljanik-->sparcmoz: the bug with vendorbase was with Xcode 2.2.1 only. Xcode 2.4 works OK even without the patch...
