Heit, I had OO installed and running on my MAC OSX 10.4.8 the french version since the english was not realesed yet whe I installed in June. Recently I downloaded an update for X11.. and OO stopped working.. I click on it and it seems to open I get the screen with the logo but it stops and quits... X11 runs normally.. I'm not sure what the update was on, it had something to do with graphics I think -I am not very skilled on these computer topics.. I uninstalled OO and reboot the computer -as any windows like users would do ... I downloaded the english version of OO 2.0.4 -I think.. installed it and.. same result.. it starts and before it atually opens the writer it quits.. leaves X11 still running.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The suggested workaround: Open the terminal application and type: sudo mkdir -p /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF.bad <return> enter your password <return> sudo mv /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF/Vera*.ttf /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/ fonts/TTF.bad <return> the code will create a new folder "TTF.bad" and will copy all "Vera" fonts to this folder.
