On 4 Nov 2006 Apple released a critical update to X11. After installing the update on my Mac Mini and Macbook, both running OS X 10.4.8 with all of the latest updates I find that Open Office crashes on both machines. The cause seems to be from the latest update to X11 by Apple.
I think I can delete X11 and reinstall it and probably solve the problem, for now, but if Apple is pushing an update to X11 for Mac OS X there must be a good reason.
