Nearly everything is ok with outlook, but what is the reason to switch
to openoffice.org, if I still have to pay to microsoft to have outlook,
if I use windows? Most of users can't switch from windows to linux,
because they need to use programs like Autocad and other specific
software which are only available for windows. But most of users can
easily switch to openoffice.org without loosing productivity. The only
big problem for that group of users is lack of relevant outlook
alternative in openoffice.org.
This situation is terrible and it continues from year to year. PIM
manager is one of the most wanted addon to openoffice.org. Unfortunately
Mozilla foundation also is vary slow in development of Lightning
extension for Thunderbird. Current builds of ligthning are far from
usability and friendly interface. I would recommend to use Evolution,
but it seems that Novell will do nothing to support Evolution windows
porting project.

Is there something wrong with Outlook?

Subject: [users] Openoffice Calendar?
I just downloaded OpenOffice and am very impressed
(considering how tech unsavvy I am).
Is there a 'Calendar' application comparable to the one in
MS Outlook? I really need something like this. If not, any
suggestions for other calendar tools out there?
Thanks,
ak
