I may be a bit late in replying to this, I've been away for a few days
and am ploughing my way though nearly 400 emails! I find that sending
attachments as PDF's is almost always the way to go - most people can
read them and with OOo2.0.4 you can add security if required to prevent
copying.

Many thanks for your help with an earlier query re dowloading Open Office.
Having now started using the product, could I pick your brains on another thing?
When I first started saving new documents, I used the default format option
OpenDocument Text (.odt), but I found that e-mail recipients could not then
open them when sent as attachments. I think I've found a better option now; but
which one would you recommend for universal acceptability of attachments
withour causing other problems - and how do I make that one my default option?
Thanking you again in anticipation
