Besides hiding columns that you don't need you can also make the
calc-window smaller. This has a side effect though, because the window
setting also changes for all your other spreadsheets a well. The new
size does not effect the windows of the other parts of OOo
Click on the button with the cascading windows in the top right hand
corner. Then put your cursor on the border of the window and drag it to
the size you want.

Let me make it more obvious. Instead of cells U1 and A56, use cells
E1 and A4 instead of E1 and A56. This will give you a 16 cell grid 4
across and 4 deep.

Yes, absolutely. In your example, put your cursor in cell U1. Then,
while holding down the shift key, press CTRL RIGHT-ARROW. This will
mark all the cells from U to the right. This will mark all the cells
through IV1. Then press FORMAT - COLUMN - HIDE. All columns greater
than T1 will dissappear.
Next, go to cell A56. Press and hold down the shift key, and press
CTRL DOWN-ARROW. This will mark all the cells from A56 to the end.
Then press FORMAT - ROW - HIDE.
Afterwards, only cells A1:T55 will be visible.
To undo these check on the small square in the upper left corner
above row 1 and left of column A. Then press FORMAT - ROW - SHOW and
FORMAT - COLUMN - SHOW.

Sirs, I am using Open Office 2.04. Is there a way to format a
spreadsheet so that only the active page will open. Example; I am
using 10 columns and 55 rows in a page, but when opened it covers
the entire screen showing columns A thru T. Can anything be done?
