Harold,
Thanks for that. We are actually in the UK, in Northumberland so it was
a strange one. I will follow the links you sent.

Sirs,
I am looking to update my current Open Office to version 2.0.4. When I
click the update section it sends me to the German version of Open
Office. I do not know what to click as I do not read German and if I
do download it will it turn my system into a German version?
How do I get to the normal English version?

Are you perchance in a German speaking country? I don't know about the
OpenOffice web site but some sites deduce your location from your IP
address and adjust themselves appropriately.
I assume that you went to www.openoffice.org and clicked the big green
"get openoffice.org" button. This takes me (in the UK, but I get the
US version of OO) to http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.4/index.html
where there is another green button labelled "Download
OpenOffice.org!". When you click on this button you are taken to a
page (same URL) offering you a choice of operating systems.
If you get to somewhere else, you could go to
http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.4/index.html explicitly by clicking
the link in this message or by typing it into your browser's address bar.
