Hi Wendy,

    I assume you are speaking of Microsoft Outlook, rather than Outlook 
Express, since you mention a database. With OpenOffice, I use Thunderbird.  
Thunderbird is not only a full fledged email client (many consider superb to 
Outlook Express), but also Thunderbird's address book(s) integrate beautifully 
with OpenOffice. Not only can I use Thunderbird's address book(s) in OpenOffice 
writer (Microsoft Word compatible) but also in OpenOffice's Calc (Microsoft 
Excel compatible) with actual fields, rather than just text.
