You don't need a credit card; OpenOffice really is free. Just download
it.You can install it on as many computers as you like and give copies
away to your friends, relatives and colleagues.
If you prefer to buy a CD you must deal with whichever organisation you
choose to buy from.
The web site for download of the English language version is
http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.4/index.html. This site also has
links to CD suppliers in various countries.
If you want to download a non-English version go to
http://projects.openoffice.org/native-lang.html and choose your
language.
