Ok, if I click (in Firefox) "Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Encryption -> View Certificates", I see my CAcert.org certificate listed. Also, (in OpenOffice) "File -> Digital Signatures -> Add", at this point I am asked for the "NSS Certificate DB Password", where I type the master password used in Firefox and my certificate is listed.
