I have open office 2.0 installed in august 2006.
A crazy prgram "popcorn" keeps popping up.
how do get rid of it. Thanks
It's probably a virus or spyware. Install a reliable AntiVirus program
and do a complete system scan. If that shows nothing try an anti spyware
program. If that shows nothing, use a search engine to find software
that will detect Root Kits; install and run that software. I can't be
more specific because you didn't say which Operating System you are
using.
It could be a bad version of OpenOffice. Where did you get it? The
official place is http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.4/index.html. You
could check the integrity of the file you download(ed) by following the
installation instructions at
http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.4/instructions.html and pay careful
attention to what they say about "MD5 Sums". Note that this can't check
the installation; only the download file that you run to do the
installation.
