You will have to de-install X11, which is not an easy task with the Mac, and then re-install it. It appears that your X11 installation is not repairable.
To do this: First, go to the Applications -> Utilities folder and drag the X11 icon to the trash. Second, empty the Trash. Third, Open another MacIntosh HD folder and click on the Library folder. Click on the Receipts folder. Move the X11user.pkg and if visible X11SDK.pkg items to the Trash. Fourth. empty the Trash AGAIN. Fifth, Click on the Terminal icon. This will start the Terminal application. Sixth. Type in the following: cd /etc sudo rm -rf X11 You will be prompted for a password, type in the current user's password. The password will NOT be reflected as spaces or asterisks (*), in other words the cursor WILL NOT move. Press the Enter/Return key. You have now removed X11 from your system. Seventh, you have to remove another file and it is located in the User's home directory under the Library and then Preferences folder. It is named com.apple.x11.plist. Find and drag this file to the Trash. Eighth: Empty the Trash, yet AGAIN. Ninth: Reboot your Mac. (Yes this is necessary because you have part of X11 is running at all times in a UNIX based Operating System once installed.) Tenth: Install X11 from the file you downloaded from Apple to install 1.1.3. Eleventh: DO NOT DELETE ANY FILES FROM THIS INSTALLATION. If this DOES NOT WORK, contact Apple as there is a known additional issue with 1.1.3 that affects a subset of certain Macs.
