setup:
Ubuntu 5.10; TypeMatrix EZ-Reach 2030 (Dvorak) keyboard.
There is no Alt Gr key on this layout.
I use Left-Control + Left shift as the operating key.
This works fine with text editor, evolution, browsers, terminal and
OpenOffice 2.0.1

Problem:
upgraded to 2.0.4 and the combination of Left-Control+ Left-shift does
not work, yet it does in all other programmes. Can insert characters
using insert menu.
I upgraded to 2.0.4 on my notebook (Ubuntu 5.10, Dvorak layout keypad)
same problem (worked ok with 2.0.1)

Therefore I think 2.0.4 has lost the ability to recognise this keypad
combination.

Have searched in options for anything to do with keyboard or character
encoding (default setting is Unicode UTF-8).Have tried changing control
keys in the Tools | configure | keyboard but with no success. When using
2.0.1, I did not have to change any keyboard settings.
The special character guide refers to remapping Xorg or XF86 using
xmodmap. I can understand that this would be necessary if the key
combination did not work in any text based programme but it does - so I
think it is particular to OpenOffice

I would appreciate any advice on what I need to alter in 2.0.4 to allow
special character input from keyboard.

Many thanks in anticipation
