Dear Sirs,
First a bit about my computer...
Apple MacBook
Intel
800GB Hdd
1GB Ram
Mac OS X 10.4.8
w/ latest Java installed
1. I went to your web site and download the latest version of
OpenOffice.org for Mac.
2. After downloading, I dragged it over to my 'Applications' folder
just like the installation documentation said.
3. Then I tried to run it and this where my problem is. As soon as
it loads, a message pops up saying, "OpenOffice.org cannot be started
because X11 is not installed. Please install Apple X11 first." I
click ok and the application exits.
Now, I went in search for this Apple X11 and downloaded it but it
won't install. It will say, "Cannot install on this volume because
newer software exists". What should I do about this problem? I love
OpenOffice.org and really want to run it. If you could help me w/
this I would greatly appreciate it.
Yours Truly,
Christopher Staggs
