If you are using windoze... Right lick on your screen someplace that is vacant. A dialog box will appear. Choose new. Choose shortcut. Click on browse and locate the open office file on your hard drive. Then just name the icon OOo and you are done. If you are using windows, you probably have a gray box in your icon tray with a couple birds on it. If you do, just double click on it.
