Yes, the problem persists. I wrote a followup (hope that soon gets
through to the list). The case could be related to file-lock
handling. In 2.0.4's soffice script the lines:
SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING=1
export SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING

are enabled by default. Disabling them allows OO to work, but
then no correct locking of a given file happens (I gave the
references).
