Disconnect from the internet, stop your Antivirus (AV) and firewall
software, install OOo, restart AV and firewall, reconnect to the net. In
that order.
When OOo asks you to register, say "later" as registration requires a
connection to the internet which you should never have without your AV
and firewall software running properly. Once everything is working
again, start OOo and register.
