Hi Rick
I would like to report a bug- I had read that it is actually supposed
to be a feature, but it is a very frustrating recurrence. I add a new
page style and a blank page is inserted into the document. It does not
show up in the editing, but it shows in the print preview. I cannot
work around it or get it to go away. At times I have succeeded in
getting it to disappear but it mysteriously reappears the next time I
open the document.
I've just tried this, and didn't experience the same behaviour as you.
After adding a new page style, I still only had one page in print preview.
Can I make a guess about what has happened?
I'm guessing that you added a page style for a left hand pages (page
layout is "only left"). A left hand page always has an even page number
(2, 4, 6, . . .). This would turn your page 1 into page 2, so
OpenOffice.org would have to add a page (a new page 1) to your document.
That is the only thing I can think of at the moment that would cause the
behaviour you have described.
If I'm right, then the bug isn't with the software. ;-) If I'm wrong,
could you please give us some more details about the steps you have
followed to create the new page style.
Adrian
