You cannot download or get a CD of only the Writer part of OpenOffice (OO). You have to take the whole thing. When you execute it, you are given the option to only install the parts (Writer, Calc, etc.) you need but the savings made by not installing all of it are relatively small. Reasonably modern computers easily have enough disk space. I would strongly recommend doing a complete install unless you have a really compelling reason not to. Who knows, you may decide next week that you need a spreadsheet. 2. You can order a CD by clicking the "Order OpenOffice.org on CD" link at http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.4/index.html<http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.4/index.html> and then choosing a supplier near you. Or you can look in the magazine shops; many computer magazines, particularly but not only those devoted to Linux come with CDs or DVDs that have OpenOffice on them. Harold Fuchs London, England
