This sounds like a good scheme. However, one problem I foresee is that
OpenOffice.org doesn't really run that well on low-spec machines (well,
I suppose it depends what you mean by low-spec). In particular, in my
experience it is very slow on anything less than 256MB of RAM. The
processor speed isn't so crucial.
