Came across an old problem (possibly as far back as Star Office 5.2,
certainly in OOo 1.0.3), which still appears in OOo 2.0.4.
I use notes on cells in a Calc spreadsheet. Once created, the note
identifies the cell it relates to, by an arrow.
However, the note seems to be fixed relative to a location point in the
whole spreadsheet, not to the cell. If a column width or row height
changes, or columns/rows are added or deleted, a cell position will
change, but the note stays put, often resulting in very long arrow
between the cell and its note, which can end up several screens/pages
away from each other. Also, the arrowhead can end up pointing at the
wrong cell. The only cure is to delete the note and recreate it - but on
occasions this has failed, and the replacement note has been created in
the same location as the deleted one, well away from the related cell.
Is this a reported bug? I cannot find anything specific in the buglists
that looks like it. If, so, is there any timetable for a fix?
Cheers,
Andy Morris
