Word is a MS Office word processor. Excel is its spreadsheet. As
far as I know, both Word and Excel are trademarks belonging to
Microsoft.
OpenOffice.org 2.0 contains Writer (the word processor you are
using), Calc (the spreadsheet), Draw (the graphics application),
Impress (the slide show application), and Base (the database
application). To access any of these applications, use File > New or
click the little down arrow on the right of the New icon. (The icon
on the left just below the word File.
