How did you save the spreadsheet. Make sure you have the file
extensions visible in Explorer. Look at the file extension for the
file you saved in OOo. If it has a file extension of .ods, then you
saved it in OOo's native file format rather than Excel's format. You
need to open this file in OOo, and then use File > Save As. In the
Save As window, make sure to change the File type to
Microsoft Excel (.xls). Then click save. That file should then open in
MS Excel.
