Hi Jason
Is it possible to do this like in Microsoft excel...I would like to remove certain colors from the backgrounds of jpegs which is possible in Microsoft excel...does your program support this feature?
Wow! I'm amazed. Excel is a program designed for crunching numbers, so if has become your tool of choice for some graphics work, it's more a happy coincidence than by design.
OpenOffice.org is also not specifically designed for editing jpegs, but it does contain some graphics features. I'm not aware of it being able to remove specific colours from jpegs, but you might get lucky twice!
Personally, I would recommend on using a program designed for the job. I use a free program called The Gimp (www.gimp.org). It has a tool specifically for selecting all occurences of a colour in a picture, so it will definitely do the job you are asking about.
