hello this is a user of open office powerpoint <openoffice.org Impress> i was wondering about how to dock the slide pane... -a user
Elisa, OOo comes with exhaustive Help files, please consult them. You would find about floating toolbars: • Drag the title bar of the toolbar to an edge of the document window. • To reattach a floating window, drag-and-drop the window's title bar to an edge of the document window. The mouse pointer should be very close to the document window's edge when you release the mouse button. • Docking toolbars and windows by drag-and-drop depends on your system's window manager settings. You must enable your system to show the full window contents when you move a window, instead of showing just the outer frame. In practice: when you have the slide pane wandering around, click on the titlebar and drag it till the mouse pointer comes at the side of your Impress window. The rectangle where you can dock the slide pane will appear and you can release the mouse button. OK? BTW: PowerPoint is a Micro$oft product and the name is probably registered, trademarked etc. Don't use that name lightly, the owners are armed to the teeth. In OpenOffice.org, the module to make presentations is called Impress. good luck, -- Guy using english OOo 2.0.4 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.1 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger --please reply only to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
