I'm using OOo 2.0 on Linux. The Insert/Object/Video menu item is
greyed out.
There is also an Insert/Movie and Sound menu item. When I use this
to insert a file named "xxx.mp4" or "xxx.wmv" there is a pause, and
then I get an error message saying "The format of the selected file
is not supported". In fact, the file open dialogue didn't show
either of these files in the default list of "all movie and sound
files", and I had to have it list all files before I could select
either of them.

Note the spelling mistake "famework", which had me running around in
circles late one night.
