Karen, both options are available at OpenOffice.org. The program can read and edit M$ Word, Excel and Powerpoint files, save them as *.doc *.xls *.pps/ppt files that can be used by M$ (or save them in Open Document format -*.odt, *.ods etc.- that M$ is at the present time unable to read. You can also save text documents and spreadsheets in the PDF format.
